In JavaScript when multiple data types have to be used we use JavaScript Objects But in Typescript we do it through object types : three methods of doing so are:
- Through anonymous types like follows:
function greet(person: { name: string; age: number }) { return "Hello " + person.name;}- By interfaces :
interface Person { name: string; age: number;} // used for defining mutliple types at the same time.
function greet(person: Person) { return "Hello " + person.name;}- By use of type aliases :
type Person = { name: string; age: number;};
function greet(person: Person) { return "Hello " + person.name;}
